
Sadoski began his stage work in theatre as an understudy for Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off-Broadway production at the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed play This is Our Youth. It was the beginning of many productions with the company based in New York. He has participated in many Off-Broadway and Broadway productions as well performing in regional theatres. Together with Alison Pill, he played the role Greg in Neil LaBute's 2008 play Reasons to be Pretty at MCC Theatre. After a critically lauded sold-out run Off-broadway the play was transferred to Broadway in April 2009 when it received three Tony Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Actress: Marin Ireland, Best Play) and three Drama Desk Award nominations (Best actor: Sadoski, Best Director: Terry Kinney and Best Play) Two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best New Play),and three Drama League Award nominations (Best Play, Distinguished Performance Awards: Sadoski and Ireland). 6 Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for inciting the widely-praised change in tone in reasons to be pretty from the playwright's previous works saying: "His own thoughtfulness and great heart allowed me to not fall back on any of the plays I've written prior to that. My plays end darkly. He was able to help me see different shades of the palette. I thought that was also true in real life. He played the role in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For his performance, he was awarded an Obie Award as well as an Lucille Lortel Award. The Outer Critics Circle named the production Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performer in 2011. Sadoski, Ben Stiller, Edie Failco, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Alison Pill and Alison Pill were also seen on Broadway in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves.
